MSP issues motion in praise of Lab in a Lorry

Jackie Baillie MSP visited Lab in a Lorry at Dumbarton Academy on Tuesday, 31 January.
She was obviously impressed as she issued the following parliamentary motion congratulating the IOP in Scotland on its initiative:
“That the Parliament welcomes the recent Lab in a Lorry event arranged by the Institute of Physics in Dumbarton Academy; notes that the initiative is aimed at 11 to 14-year-olds to foster an interest in science among young people; understands that the initiative hopes to build a future generation of scientists and engineers throughout Scotland, following in the footsteps of people like James Clerk Maxwell, John Logie Baird and Alexander Fleming, and welcomes this approach to enthusing a new generation of young people for science.”
